13 Coins South Lake Union Location remains open though January 1, 2018

Taking Reservations for private parties now through December 31, 2017

Seattle, WA. November 6, 2017. 13 Coins owner, Al Moscatel along with his partners announced today that they have negotiated an extension on their lease at 125 Boren Avenue North through January 1. The restaurant will move from the Boren location to 255 South King Street, in historic Pioneer Square with an opening date of January 13 th.

“It has been our goal since the beginning of this project that we ensure our team members are gainfully employed and won’t suffer a loss of wages during this transition, said Moscatel. We also understand how important it is that we remain open as long as possible so our guests can book their holiday parties through the 31 of December.

The 13 Coins location at Stadium Place is adjacent to Embassy Suites by Hilton between King Street Station and Century Link Field. All three restaurants operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with validated parking available while customers dine.

The 10,500 square foot restaurant has two levels, the lower level is intended for private dining that can accommodate up to 250 guests. The main level showcases 13 Coins signature exhibition kitchen with classic, counter seating and cushy captain’s chairs. High back leather booths allow privacy for guests, while the Night Owl Lounge has walls of windows and views of Century Link Stadium. State of the art audio visual can be found throughout both floors.

Executive Chef Tracey Stephenson has refined some of the classic dishes and added a few lighter, more contemporary options. The new menus were implemented in October at all three locations.

A 50th anniversary “Golden Giveaway” campaign has received hundreds of submissions via Facebook and will continue through the end of November. Winning essays will receive a pair of Captain’s Chairs, table and chairs from the Night owl Lounge as well as gift certificates.

On the last day of operations, ownership will roll back several menu items to 1967 prices and then allow guests to take the plates with them. This will occur only at the Boren street location until they run out of food and dishware.

13 Coins is a timeless Seattle institution where generations have settled in for an unforgettable experience since 1967. Famed for its high backed booths, swiveling captain’s chairs and an exhibition kitchen known for lively, counter-side exchanges, 13 Coins has been host to countless first dates and proposals, family and company gatherings, celebrity sightings, and many late (or “early!”) nights on the town with friends.

Delicious food lining a dazzling 24-hour menu, engaging line chefs who banter playfully, and friendly, professional servers keep you coming back time and again.
